AFC-Holcroft is a privately held company. Atmosphere Furnace Company was established in 1962. Our state-of-the-art facility in Wixom, Michigan has 70,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space. The building was especially designed and built to produce the highest quality heat treat equipment. In October of 1996, we acquired Pacific Industrial Furnace Co. (PIFCO), a division of Detrex and consolidated their operations with ours in Wixom. PIFCO was established in 1930 and has been very strong in the foundry, forge and aluminum industries.
In April of 1999, we acquired Therm Alliance, a privately owned company located in Detroit MI. Therm Alliance was established in 1985, but the family managing the company has been in the heat treat business since 1914. In March of 2000, AFC purchased Holcroft, a privately held furnace company located in Livonia, MI. Holcroft has been building furnaces since 1916. Even though each of our divisions will continue to service their respective customers as they have done in the past, our products are marketed under the name of AFC-Holcroft. In 2005 we formed a joint venture company with ALD Vacuum Technologies of Hanau, Germany, called ALD-Holcroft. ALD is a world-renowned company in the field of vacuum equipment and has been in business for over 60 years. Our combined expertise will provide our customers with a single source for their heat treat equipment requirements.
We have the most diversified products of heat treat equipment. We are fully equipped to design, manufacture, ship, install, and service all types of custom and standard heat treat systems.
With our strategically located network of global partners, we have the capability to manufacture, install and service our equipment anywhere in the world.
