AFC Holcroft is the culmination of decades of innovation in the heat-treatment industry:
The heritage of Holcroft, building industrial furnaces since 1916.
Atmosphere Furnace Company (AFC), established in 1962, a pioneer in salt-quenching techniques.
Pacific Industrial Furnace Company (PIFCO), founded in 1930 and key to the foundry, forge and aluminum sectors.
Therm Alliance, a Detroit family-run specialist from 1985 with roots dating back to 1914.
A Unified Platform for Advanced Heat Treatment Solutions
Although each of these entities retains a legacy of service to its original customer base, all new products and support are unified under the AFC-Holcroft brand.
In 2025, this evolution continued as AFC Holcroft — together with Nitrex, UPC-Marathon, and GME became part of the same global industrial platform under the AFC-Holcroft. This strategic alignment strengthens our combined technology portfolio, expands our global footprint, and enables us to deliver even greater value across the full lifecycle of heat-treat systems.
